Quantity comes first in our Excel and CSV templates. Your existing columns can appear in any order. Fill Inventory with your own copies: the marked Examples and Help tabs are excluded from import. Repeated rows for the same version and delivery status are added together within the file. Finish and Language are free text: copy the exact catalogue values; no short dropdown limits the available choices.

Which fields should I fill in?Required fields, optional details and delivery status

Required Before matching

Card identity
For cards, use name and edition, or an exact Catalogue ID. An ID still needs language and finish.
Language and finish
Record both explicitly. Choose values that describe the copies in your list.
Quantity
A whole number from 0 to 999 per row. Use between 1 and 20,000 rows.

Optional More copy details

Delivery status
Received for delivered copies; Incoming for orders on the way. Blank status means Received. Both count as owned.
Version and condition details
Collector number, Scryfall version or Catalogue ID; condition; signatures and alterations with artist names; grading company, overall grade and certificate; four named BGS/older CGC subgrades or eight TAG front/back scores; and notes. PSA has no subgrades. Leave unknown details blank.
Purchase and storage
Purchase date (YYYY-MM-DD), price per copy, three-letter currency and location. These optional details belong to your copies.
Individually numbered copies
Use quantity 1 when recording a serial or certification number.
Using an existing spreadsheet?Column headings, worksheets, blank cells and formulas

If your workbook has several worksheets, choose one to import. You can import the others separately. Your column order does not matter.

This importer matches versions in the Treasures catalogue. For other Magic cards and products, use the MTG Collecting importer with the same shared account.

If a whole column shares the same language, finish or edition, choose that value explicitly in Review columns for its blank cells. Otherwise, complete missing language, finish or edition details in your file before trying again. They cannot be guessed.

For quantities calculated by formulas, recalculate and save the workbook in Excel before uploading. We use the saved results of the selected worksheet.

Add purchase history to existing copies Optional

Add purchase dates, prices and storage locations to copies already in your inventory. Review the details before saving. Your quantities stay the same.

You can also record these details for individual copies in Manage copies, without importing another file.

Choose a UTF-8 CSV or JSON file smaller than 5 MB. Prices are per copy, in the recorded currency.

Purchase history file format

Use Quantity, Catalogue ID, Language, Finish and Source reference to identify each purchase. You can also include Purchase date (YYYY-MM-DD), Purchase price, Purchase currency (three letters), Location and Purchase source. Source reference must identify the purchase line uniquely so it is saved only once.
